Okay, so as more of a real update....

Korea is getting allot of typhoons, I'm not sure if this is unusual since this is monsoon season, and we are supposed to get allot of rain. However the country side is flooding everywhere, some people have lost homes, and there is expected to be a rice shortage in North Korea because of the water damage.

Inland in Daegu the storms were very loud and nasty with lots of rain, and I ended up walking to the school with my shoes in my hand, and walking home the same way because it was impossible to try to walk with them on. I was were my sandals, wearing my shoes would have been insane, and probably would have ruined them, but my sandals were not match for the rain and water and there was really nothing I could do about it. My windproof I waterproof umbrella made it to the school, but unfortunately sprang a leak and became no longer waterproof. On the way home it was turned inside out and bent sideways be they wind becoming no longer windproof. By the time I made it up the hill and stopped by the corner store for some water (okay it's raining and pouring down the water, but I'm afraid to drink the sink water as the city of Daegu has tripled it's size in the last decade, but not it's sewer system) so I had to walk into the corner store soaking wet, and barefoot, to buy water, which really seemed to amuse the Korean's behind the counter.

The school is starting to settle down sort of. We've had a new Korean teacher who is said to have a master's in education but will not stop harassing me about how to teach all of her classes which is causing me endless frustration. The director fired on of the other Korean teacher's and another left, but there is a mysterious replacement said to arrive soon. For those of you keeping tabs, Kimmy was fired, and Alex walked (I sort of expected that). My class schedule has evened out to a smooth four classes a day instead of five, but the days got longer with all classes going till 10. However we all have a thirty minute break now between our 6:00 classes and our 8:30 classes, so that is very nice.

In the meantime I am looking forward to a larger than usual paycheck which should afford a plane ticket for one Sam and hopeful a small turtle for Sara, and probably a new pair of shoes, as mine are starting to look a little ragged, I should be able to get a nice pair without spending to much money.

If someone wanted to send me some black Haynes t-shirt you would rock, as I only brought two with me and I wear them under my jackets, but they are starting to get a little tattered. If your interested let me know and I will tell you where to send them.

I did manage to make a pair of pants, but I still don't have sewing machine and it takes a long time to make clothes without one. The paints are very nice and purple, and they have an interesting design on them. They make me happy.

Today I am having some garlic bread for breakfast. Silly, but somehow it makes me feel better.

As for the weather, we are suppose to have two more typhoons crossing the country today and tomorrow, so it should continue to be exciting weather wise throughout September. My policy will be to stay out of cabs and buses while the rain is coming down, and to say indoors if at all possible while the weather is extremely nasty.
