It is another find sunny loud morning in Korea with the Bumi Girls in space age uniforms dancing to music and singing and trying to convince me to try ginseng tea. Or at least trying to convince Sam and myself as we sit in the pc bong trying to find missing luggage, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

Sam arrived just a few minutes late in Seoul yesterday. Which was very good, although at first the airline seemed to think that he would arriave about five minutes ahead of schedule but they kept going back and forth on this. I went up to Seoul to meet him, with Mr. Kim, JeanniePark and Jason. Our real reason for going to Seoul was to go to an educational book far, which I did manage to stop by. This was my first real time in Seoul and alas I spent most of it driving around in cars or eating in Korean restraunts. We arriaved to Seoul at about 2 am after leaving straight out from work on Friday night. We found a hotel after much driving around. Apparently it was a love hotel, or at least in league with being a hotel where girls might do a brisk business as it had a vending machine where one could purchase the most unusual products. It was all very odd.

So after aquiring two rooms we went out to find something to drink and ended up going to a little restraunt hut were the food was good and the beer was cold, and considering how cold we were already that wasn't really a plus. We walked back to the hotel at about four or five, and slept. Or at least tried to. I don't know why but in all the hotels I have tried to stay in or at least in the first and second, as that is the count so far, it has been ungodly hot. Really really really really hot. Koreans like to be warm, and the heat is through the floors, so the room was about 87 degrees, and I don't like that kinds of heat in the summer time, so I eventually ended up getting up and leaving to go for a cold walk at about 9:00am, and walked around Seoul till I found a pc bong. I did manage to find one after walking around the biggest block I've ever walked around, and it was in reality only a few feet from the Motel. Ah well.

The book fair was interesting and educational, full of children, parents, and Korean School Directors. I left after having a slice of pizza for lunch and was on my way to Inchon to find Sam. I arriaved via limosine bus, very snazy and comfortable, and waited, and waited. I started to worry until I finally saw one fuzzy headed and tired Sam walking out of the doors about an hour after the plane landed. Apparently Korea has decided to keep one of his bags, which is generally irritiating. We tried to get someone at the counter in Seoul, but for no readily apparently reason no one was working at the information desk for his airline. Something will try to be arranged so we can find the missing bag. After that we went and caught a limo bus too Seoul Station where we met Mr. Kim, Jeanie and Jason. At that point we, and the one bag and carryons, found our way into a taxi and onto food at a little Korean style beef and octopus resturaunt.

After that we had the incredibly exciting journey back to Jeanie's car. Apparently traffic was worse than usual and there was no way to drive to the station to meet us although and attempt had been made. So my cohorts in teaching ended up tatking the subway to get to us, and we in turn took the subway back to the car. Once arriaving at the car, with the very large, now after walking about three miles extermly heavy suitcase, we settled in for the three and half hour drive back to Daegu. Which went as most drives do, very quickly, although it still felt like forever. We got back to Daegu at about 1:30 am where crashing was imminent. After crashing we awoke, found lunch, and well, here you are reading and email.

So anyway, not much more to report. Sam is a happier after having slept.
