I'm happy as I may have sold some paintings this week which is always a nice boost to the pocket book. I might buy myself some sweaters, as it really is cold for November, at least I think it is a bit.

The weather is supposed to get colder and I'm sure it will be exciting at least once or twice, though I doubt it could possibly be as interesting as monsoon season was, or the typhoon, at that.

Sam is having a good time here, at least I think he is. He has climbed up the mountain several times and walked to other various mountains within reach of my apartment as well as to the small little canal that wanders through downtown Daegu, and the little Soosung Lake, which always makes me pine for Lake Michigan a real lake.

I have not been attacked by any Koreans this week, and Suzette no longer goes anywhere without company which is sort of a sad state of affairs. I don't think that Koreans in general are bad people, and I actually rather enjoy being here, but Suzette is starting to really loathe Korea and I'm sure she will be happy to go when her contract is up next year.

I haven't had a chance to paint anything new in almost a month so I may spend this weekend hold up in my apartment creating great works of art, or somthing of the sort.

I'm happy to announce that the pen-pal project I've been trying to get going between here and Chicago looks like it has finally started, and I suppose on Friday I will know if my kids here have gotten any letters. For the most part the students where only partially excited, as they feel  a little intimidated. Julie, one of the students who will be writing said to me "Sara, they know english, how will we talk to them?" to which I responded "You know English too, that's how you talk to me." So hopefully they will become more comfortable with it as time goes on, hard to tell.
